A New Year, A New Site, The Next Level

February 15, 2018

My portfolio officially has a new home.

In January 2018, I went on a cruise. It was the first proper vacation I had taken in five years. We're talking no work, no laptop, no cell service, no internet. I hadn't stopped working for longer than a weekend since college, and typically, I don't take those two days off. I disconnected for a week and by the time I blew back into the bomb cyclone of New York City winter, my brain had been completely rewired at the molecular level.

I can't prove that. But it feels true.

My business has changed since I first hung out my shingle as a freelance writer and digital marketer in 2013. That was the year I graduated from college, sold everything, and got on a plane to Ibiza to figure out if this dream career of mine had legs. I might be worried if things hadn't changed since then.

The work I do is different now. The quality of my work has matured with five years of experience under my belt, as has the fundamental way I approach doing business. This portfolio website serves as an updated, modern home for this new, next-level phase of my freelance work. And this blog will soon host a series of my thoughts on business, entrepreneurship, marketing, making, and more.
