New for Morsel New York: Blue Marble Ice Cream

Morsel New York just published my feature on Blue Marble Dreams, the nonprofit arm of Blue Marble Ice Cream that helps local communities open their own ice cream shops in countries like Haiti and Rwanda. Every flavor that Blue Marble Ice Cream makes in the US is certified organic and uses locally sourced, sustainably grown natural ingredients. But in Haiti it's nearly impossible to source milk, and when the team first arrived in Rwanda there were two separators (to separate out cream and milk, integral to the ice cream process) in the entire country and neither were operational. I spoke to founder and CEO of Blue Marble Ice Cream, Jennie Dundas, about running the business, sharing the dream, and why something as simple as ice cream can make a big difference.
